Foster the village brightens the lives of children in out-of-home care by providing essential basic needs and community support, to ease the foster care journey for them and their caregivers.

Foster the Village is a tax-exempt 501(c)3, non-profit organization formed to provide aid to the Brown County foster care community. We supply free clothing, shoes, diapers, and other care items to children who arrive in out-of-home care without adequate supplies after being removed from parental custody due to abuse or neglect.

Brown County has the second highest population of children in out-of-home care in Wisconsin, the first being Milwaukee County. We partner with Brown County Health and Human Services, Children’s of Wisconsin, Foundations Health & Wholeness, Community Care Resources (CCR), Oneida Nation Foster Care, and other local nonprofits and organizations.
