About Foster The Village

Foster the Village logo

uplifting children is a mission that matters

Foster the Village is a tax-exempt, 501c3 organization that supports children from birth to 18 years old in Brown County who have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care due to abuse and/or neglect. We brighten the lives of children in out-of-home care by providing essential basic needs and community support, to ease the foster care journey for children and caregivers.

Our Team Is Growing!

As Foster the Village continues to expand and serve more children and families, we are planning for the future. After eight amazing years, it's time to grow our team! 


Our founder, Cheri Salmon, has decided to transition from Executive Director of Foster the Village to part-time Program Manager. Cheri will continue to work directly with foster families and support our mission in a hands-on way. 


We are working to find a values-driven Executive Director who will honor our mission and keep our focus on serving children in Brown County who are experiencing foster care. Apply today!
