Foster the Village is asking for your support for the Foster the Future Campaign. This $750,000 campaign will help create a new heart of the village for children in foster care and their foster families.
Since 2018, the number of children in foster care in Brown County has grown by 49%. At Foster the Village, we serve more than 1,200 children in foster care and their foster families each year. Quite simply, Foster the Village has outgrown its space. So, we’ve embarked on the renovation of a central location – one that will quadruple our space and become the heart of the village that children in foster care and their foster parents need. We are excited to announce that our new location is the former St. Jude Catholic School at 1470 Division Street in Green Bay!
The $250,000 renovation of the building (built in 1958) will provide more than space. It will allow for dedicated rooms based on age, and provide play areas and ample ability for programming that supports the emotional needs inherent in fostering. In addition to the renovation, $500,000 in recurring expenses are expected over the next five years. This brings our total cost for the campaign to $750,000.
How Can You Help?
We hope we can count on you to make a difference. Your tax-deductible donation to the renovation of our new location – or to Foster the Village’s everyday operations – will help create the heart of the special village where children in foster care and foster families find belonging and community.
Your support could be a one-time financial donation, a naming opportunity within the building, or ongoing financial or clothing/supply donations to help with the everyday needs. There are many options to fit the way you’d like to give, and to strategically implement your philanthropic goals.
Contact us at fosterthevillage@gmail.com for a tour of our new space! We’ll be happy to share how we’re Fostering the Future. We truly appreciate your time and consideration of a donation to Foster the Village!
